Major Triads

Harold Meltzer's Brion opens with major chords that are impossible to miss:

Yehudi Wyner's Oboe Quartet features the major triad as well.  The introductory section, before the oboe enters, ends with this major triad--

The phrase dies into a barely audible major chord.

This is very subtle, and the context for the appearance of this major chord is not at all the ordinary context, nevertheless, as the culmination of the opening section, this triad is very curious.   In fact this sneaky major chord reappears, and always just as subtly and mysteriously.
